QUENTIN SHIH
Quentin Shih (a.k.a. Shi Xiaofan), 33, a Chinese artist, photographer and director based in Beijing has won many international accolades and is well-known for his distinct cinematic style.
During 2008, Quentin received much attention for his fine art series “The Foreign in a Glass Box” created for Dior’s 60 years anniversary celebrations, which was exhibited at Beijing’s UCCA. Other fine art works also appear in many international collections, including including Danforth Museum of Art and Worcester Art Museum.
Being one of China's leading and most versatile photographers, during the last few years, his work regularly appears in top music and fashion magazines in China as well as other international publications, such as PDN.
Quentin’s advertising clients include IBM, Microsoft, Siemens, Jeep and China Mobile.
Quentin Shih 即时晓凡，中国艺术家、摄影师及导演，现定居于纽约。他的作品在国际上享有盛誉，他作品的鲜明电影风格也被世人所推崇。2008年在北京UCCA举行的Dior六十周年庆中，时晓凡所创造的《玻璃箱里的陌生人》为他迎得了更多的关注。2009年4月，这组作品在俄罗斯艺术学院现代艺术博物馆所举办的“Christian Dior – 60周年图片历史展”中展出。同样，时晓凡的其他纯艺术作品也多次在各种国际性的大型活动中被展出，其中包括丹佛斯博物馆和渥斯特艺术博物馆。在最近的几年，作为中国摄影界的领头人及最有才华的摄影师之一，时晓凡的作品不仅经常出现在国内顶尖音乐和时尚杂志上，还经常刊登在国际性知名杂志上，如Time，Newsweek，PDN，Vogue，Harper’s Bazaar，L’Official 以及 Cosmopolitan等。2008年12月，时晓凡前往巴黎为法国影星伊莎贝拉•于佩尔拍摄了两组肖像。这组作品将作为2009年中法文化之春项目的一部分进行展出，该展览将于2009年6月在北京的尤伦斯当代艺术中心（UCCA）举行，此次展览由法国驻中国大使馆赞助。
